The Alaska Willow Ptarmigan is the official bird of
the state of Alaska.
Located on the first floor of the West Wing, the 1,272 square foot (118 m2) Ptarmigan Room is ideal for groups ranging in size from a conference style meeting for 16 up to a reception for 125 guests.
The Ptarmigan Room has two exterior windows that face the Alaska Range and have a partial mountain view. One end of the room features a built in counter, convenient for food service or display items. Restrooms are located just outside the room.
Although there is no elevator access to this room, it is fully accessible for all guests via an outside path.
Food service can be arranged buffet style and beverages can be provided, as well as a full range of audio visual equipment.
